Established in 2004 by Cancer Council Queensland, the Walk for Women’s Cancers is an important event in Queensland that unites all women affected by cancer. It’s the ultimate event for raising awareness for all cancers in women, which happens to 1 in every 6 women by the age of 85, and proves fatal for more than 800 unfortunate women each year. By raising awareness for women’s cancers, it can be noticed early, treated, and prevented – giving hundreds of women a deserved second chance at life.

The Walk for Women’s Cancers helps toward this life-saving cause, and attracts more than 700 participants each year. Held on the Sunshine Coast, the Walk for Women’s Cancers is a simple 3-kilometre or 8-kilometre walk along the picturesque coastline, which starts at the Alexandra Headland near Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. Whether you want to raise awareness, show your support, or fundraise, participating in the Walk for Women’s Cancers gives hope to all women across the country.

This spring, be part of something special at the Walk for Women’s Cancers, which is open to the public and invites people from all over to join in the cause. Show your support, raise awareness, and give hope to a better future for women at the Walk for Women’s Cancers on September 8.
